Dave Swindells has spent his life in clubs. He was Time Out London’s Nightlife Editor from 1986 to 2009. Nobody even knows how many club photographs he has taken! What is certain is that many of the most iconic images were shot over one week in Ibiza, on an assignment for 20/20 magazine in 1989. It was Dave’s first visit to the island and his last chance to capture the spirit of Ibiza before Ku and Amnesia were forced to put roofs on their al fresco dance floors and waves of British clubbers hit the shores.
